The 11 best AI visibility tools in 2026, compared

Short answer: an AI visibility tool sends the questions your buyers ask to ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Google’s AI results on a schedule, then shows whether your brand is named, where it sits in the answer and which competitors and pages the AI picks instead. For most B2B teams, a tool that tracks 50 to 100 prompts across four or more engines for $100 to $200 a month is the right start. Enterprise platforms earn their price once you track many brands, markets or languages.

Half of B2B software buyers (51%) now start their research with an AI chatbot more often than with Google, up from 29% a year earlier, according to G2’s 2026 survey of 1,076 buyers. The same survey found that 69% of buyers ended up choosing a different vendor than they planned because that vendor appeared in a chatbot’s recommendation.

That changes when a shortlist gets made. A buyer who asks ChatGPT for “the best LinkedIn outreach tool for agencies” has three names in front of them before they visit a single website or reply to an SDR. If you’re not one of the three, you find out at the end of the quarter, if at all.

AI visibility tools exist to answer that question: are we in the answer, how often, and who is in it instead. We read the pricing pages, plan limits and documentation of every tool below in October 2026, compared each one on the same seven criteria, and wrote down what the entry plan actually includes. We did not run a months-long lab test, and we don’t claim to. What you get here is a like-for-like comparison of what each vendor sells today, with the criteria we used.

Prices are monthly, in USD, checked in October 2026. Vendors in this category change plans every few months; we re-check this page every quarter and log changes at the bottom.

How we evaluated these tools

We compared every tool on the same seven criteria, using only what each vendor documents on its pricing page and in its help docs in October 2026. If a vendor doesn’t say it offers something, we treat it as not offered, so a few tools may do more than we give them credit for. Where a vendor sells only one paid plan to brands, that’s the plan we describe.

CriterionWhat we looked at
Engine coverageWhich of the six core engines (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode, Microsoft Copilot) are on the first paid plan, and which cost extra or need a higher plan. Claude, Grok and others are noted separately.
Data depthMentions and position, sentiment, cited pages and domains, competitor share of voice, and whether you can read the full text of each answer over time.
Path to actionRecommendations or gap analysis, page or site audits, and analytics on AI crawlers or AI referral traffic.
Price for a standard setupThe monthly cost of 50 prompts checked daily in ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews and Gemini, about 6,000 answers a month.
Data accessCSV export, API, MCP server and Looker Studio or BI connectors, and which plan each one needs.
Try before you buyA free plan or trial, self-serve sign-up and published prices.
ReviewsThe G2 rating and number of reviews for the product itself.

Two caveats. First, this category is young, and a tool that lacks a feature today can ship it next month. Second, AI engines don’t give the same answer twice. Two tools tracking the same brand will report different visibility numbers because they collect answers differently, at different times and from different locations. So pick one tool and watch the trend inside it.

Which AI engines each tool tracks

The engine list is the first thing to check, because a tool can’t report on an engine it doesn’t query. Google AI Overviews and AI Mode are separate surfaces from the Gemini app, so a tool that tracks Gemini doesn’t automatically cover what people see in Google Search.

  • AskWatch: ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Google AI Overviews, AI Mode, Copilot. Collected through the web interface.
  • Peec AI: pick 3 of ChatGPT, Gemini, AI Overviews, AI Mode and Copilot; Perplexity as a paid add-on; Claude and Grok on Enterprise. Web interface for ChatGPT, model API for Enterprise models.
  • Semrush: ChatGPT, Gemini and AI Mode in prompt tracking; Perplexity and AI Overviews only in some reports; no Copilot. Web interface.
  • Profound (Enterprise): all six plus Claude. Collection method not stated.
  • SE Visible: ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, AI Overviews, AI Mode; no Copilot; Claude coming soon. Web interface.
  • Ahrefs Brand Radar: all six plus Claude for custom prompts. Collection method not stated.
  • Otterly.AI: ChatGPT, Perplexity, AI Overviews, Copilot; Gemini, AI Mode and Claude as paid add-ons. Web interface, Claude via model API.
  • Scrunch: ChatGPT, Perplexity, AI Overviews, Copilot; Gemini, AI Mode, Claude and Grok on Enterprise. Mix of web interface and APIs.
  • AthenaHQ: all six plus Claude, Grok, DeepSeek, Meta AI and Mistral. Collection method not stated.
  • Rankscale: all six plus Claude, Grok and more. Each engine labeled as web interface or model API.
  • Similarweb: ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, AI Mode; no AI Overviews or Copilot. Collection method not stated.

Ahrefs covers all six engines for custom prompts; its pre-built index is sold per platform. AthenaHQ and Rankscale also list DeepSeek, Mistral and others.

How a tool collects answers matters more than it looks. “Web interface” means the tool asks the question the way a person does, in the public ChatGPT, Perplexity or Google page. “Model API” means it calls the model directly. The API is not what a person sees: the consumer app runs a web search, applies its own formatting and cites sources, and the API often does none of that. Tools that read the web interface show you the answer your buyer saw. Tools that use APIs can cover more models more cheaply, but the answers can differ from what people actually get.

Best LLM monitoring tool for tracking all six major engines

AskWatch

AskWatch pros:
– All six core engines on every plan with no add-ons: ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode and Copilot
– Priced per AI answer from $50 a month, with no per-prompt or per-engine fees
– Every answer is collected through the engine’s web interface, so you see what a buyer sees, not a model API’s version
– Unlimited websites, workspaces and users on every plan

AskWatch cons:
– No free trial, only a free one-time report on your brand
– No recommendations, site audits, AI traffic analytics or API, and no G2 reviews
– Claude and Grok aren’t tracked

AskWatch is a monitoring tool with one structural difference: it charges for AI answers instead of prompts or engines. One answer is one engine’s reply to one prompt in one run, so 10 prompts on all six engines, checked daily, comes to about 1,800 answers a month. Adding prompts or switching between daily and weekly runs only changes the answer count, not the plan.

The Monitor plan starts at $50 a month for 2,500 answers, then $100 for 5,000, $200 for 10,000 and $400 for 25,000. Past the allowance, answers cost $0.025 each from a prepaid balance, or you can switch overage off and tracking pauses until the next period. AskWatch collects every answer through each engine’s web interface, the same ChatGPT, Perplexity or Google page your buyers use, and stores it in full, so you can open any prompt and read what each engine said on any day. Reports cover visibility, position and sentiment for you and your competitors, and which pages and domains the engines cite. Tracking runs daily or weekly, and data exports to CSV.

AskWatch makes sense if you want all six engines covered without paying per engine, or you track several sites and don’t want per-seat or per-project pricing.

AskWatch pricing: From $50/month for 2,500 AI answers across all six engines, then $0.025 per answer. Unlimited sites, workspaces and users. No free trial; the first brand report is free. AskWatch

Best AI visibility tool for daily tracking for marketing teams

Peec AI

Peec AI pros:
– Unlimited users on every plan, so the whole marketing team can work in it
– 50 prompts checked daily on the $95 Starter plan, with sentiment, position and source analytics
– An MCP server for read and write access from AI assistants

Peec AI cons:
– Only three engines on every self-serve plan; each extra engine costs more (from $35 a month on Starter)
– The API is Enterprise-only

Peec AI appears on all eight of the top-ranking “best AI visibility tools” lists we reviewed for this article. Its appeal is focus: it does daily tracking well and keeps the plan structure simple. You pay for prompts times engines, and countries and languages don’t cost extra.

On Starter you get 50 prompts and choose three engines from ChatGPT, Google AI Mode, Google AI Overviews, Copilot, Gemini and Naver. Perplexity is a paid add-on. Each prompt is checked daily, and Peec shows visibility, position, sentiment and share of voice against competitors, plus which sources the engines cite and how those sources are classified. A prompt volume score (1 to 5) helps you judge which prompts matter, and gap analysis points to topics where competitors appear and you don’t.

Watch the three-engine limit. A team that wants ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Gemini and Perplexity on Starter pays $130 a month, not $95. Pro ($245) and Advanced ($495) raise the prompt count while keeping three engines.

It suits a team that wants one daily tracker everyone can log into and already knows which three engines its buyers use most.

Peec AI pricing: From $95/month for Starter: 50 prompts, 3 engines of your choice, daily, unlimited users. Extra engines from $35/month each on monthly billing ($30 billed annually). Annual billing saves 15%. Pricing page

Best AI search visibility tool for teams already on Semrush

Semrush AI Visibility Toolkit

Semrush pros:
– A large prompt database lets you benchmark any brand on day one, before you set anything up
– Semrush says answers are captured from real requests rather than model APIs
– AI visibility data sits next to your keyword, backlink and site audit data in one account

Semrush cons:
– Only 25 tracked prompts on the $99 toolkit, and every extra user needs a license
– No Copilot coverage, and Semrush’s own help pages list different engines for different reports: Prompt Tracking names ChatGPT, AI Mode and Gemini

If your SEO team already lives in Semrush, the AI Visibility Toolkit is the shortest path to AI data: no new vendor, no new login, and reports that sit next to the organic data you already use.

The toolkit costs $99 a month per domain and includes 25 prompts tracked daily, AI visibility and competitor reports, prompt research with topic volume and difficulty, and an AI search check inside Site Audit. Brand Performance adds share of voice, sentiment and narratives, updated weekly. Semrush says responses come from real requests rather than any LLM API, and Prompt Tracking can be set per country and language across 220+ locations.

Twenty-five prompts is a small sample for a B2B brand with several products, and adding 50 more costs $60 a month. Semrush One Starter ($199) bundles the SEO toolkit with 50 tracked prompts and MCP access. Engine coverage depends on the report: the pricing page names ChatGPT, Google AI, Gemini and Perplexity, but the Prompt Tracking help page lists ChatGPT, AI Mode and Gemini. So it can’t track our standard four-engine setup for your own prompts.

If your team already pays for Semrush, this is the cheapest way to put AI visibility next to the rest of your search data.

Semrush pricing: From $99/month per domain for the AI Visibility Toolkit: 25 prompts, daily tracking. +50 prompts for $60/month. Semrush One (SEO + AI) from $199/month with 50 prompts. No free trial for the toolkit. Pricing page

Best AI visibility platform for enterprise brands

Profound

Profound pros:
– Nine answer engines on Enterprise, including Copilot, Claude and DeepSeek
– Goes beyond tracking: fact-checking of what AI says about you, prompt volumes, agent analytics and content agents
– Over 1,100 reviews on G2 with a 4.5 rating

Profound cons:
– No paid self-serve plan for brands: after the trial, it’s a custom Enterprise contract
– The free trial runs a fixed set of 50 prompts that you can’t edit

Profound is built for companies that run AI visibility as a funded program with an owner. It’s priced and sold that way.

Brands start with a free 7-day trial: 50 prompts chosen by Profound for your industry, run daily on ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI Overviews. After that, the only paid option for brands is Enterprise, with custom prompts, up to nine engines, all-time history, CSV and JSON export, API, MCP and SSO. On top of tracking, Profound offers FactCheck (where AI states something wrong about you), prompt volume data, ChatGPT Shopping tracking, agent analytics from your CDN logs and credit-based content agents. Agencies have a separate model with a $99 base fee and $399 per client workspace.

You can’t buy a small Profound plan to see if AI visibility matters for your brand. By the time you talk to their sales team, you should already know it does.

Choose Profound if you run several brands or markets, need engines beyond the big six, and can sign a custom contract.

Profound pricing: Free 7-day trial (50 preset prompts, 3 engines). Enterprise: custom pricing with up to 9 engines, API and MCP. Agencies: $99/month plus $399/month per client workspace. Pricing page

Best AI visibility tracker for the most prompts for the price

SE Visible (SE Ranking)

SE Visible pros:
– 200 prompts checked daily across five engines for $99 a month
– Answers collected through a real browser interface
– Unlimited users

SE Visible cons:
– No Copilot, and Claude is listed as “coming soon”
– Seven countries and five languages, and no recommendations or site audits listed

SE Visible is SE Ranking’s standalone AI visibility product, and its pitch is volume. No other self-serve plan on this list gives you 200 daily prompts on five engines at this price, which matters if you want a sample big enough to cover several products, segments and competitor comparisons.

The Basic plan ($99) tracks ChatGPT, Gemini, Google AI Mode, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews daily, with a visibility score, share of voice, average position, sentiment and sources by category. Core ($189) raises it to 450 prompts and Plus ($355) to 1,000. If you already use SE Ranking for SEO, its Core plan ($129) now includes 100 daily AI prompts, with GA4, Looker Studio and MCP on that platform side.

SE Visible doesn’t list recommendations or site audits, so deciding what to fix is up to you. Query fan-out, local AI visibility and brand sentiment tracking are marked “coming soon,” and the API is in beta. Coverage is limited to the US, UK, Canada, France, Germany, the Netherlands and Spain.

For a team that wants the largest daily sample on a small budget and has its own ideas about what to do next, SE Visible is the strongest value here.

SE Visible pricing: From $99/month for Basic: 200 prompts, 5 engines, daily, unlimited users. Annual billing saves 20%. 10-day free trial. Pricing

Best AI brand visibility tool for researching a whole market

Ahrefs Brand Radar

Ahrefs Brand Radar pros:
– A pre-built index of hundreds of millions of prompts shows any brand’s AI visibility without setup
– Custom prompts are cheap per check and cover all six core engines plus Claude
– API, MCP and a Looker Studio connector on Ahrefs plans

Ahrefs Brand Radar cons:
– The index is re-tested monthly, so it works as a market view rather than a daily tracker
– No free trial, and the full index across all platforms costs $699 a month

Brand Radar starts from the other end of the problem: Ahrefs runs a large index of prompts modeled on its keyword data through each AI platform, so you can look up how any brand, including competitors you haven’t set up, shows up across a market. That makes it a research tool first.

The AI Visibility Index costs $199 a month per platform or $699 for all of them, and is re-tested monthly on a 90-day window. Custom prompts come with paid Ahrefs plans (5 prompts on Lite at $129), and larger packages start at $50 a month for 2,500 checks, with daily, weekly or monthly runs on AI Overviews, AI Mode, ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Copilot and Claude. Ahrefs doesn’t say whether those packages can be bought without a paid plan, so we priced our standard setup as Lite plus the $100 package. Brand Radar reports mentions, citations, share of voice, impressions weighted by search volume, cited pages and AI traffic.

The monthly index refresh is the main limit for teams that want to see changes week to week, and Ahrefs doesn’t list sentiment among Brand Radar’s metrics.

Brand Radar is the right first purchase if you need to size up a category and your competitors before choosing which prompts to track daily.

Ahrefs Brand Radar pricing: Custom prompts included in Ahrefs plans from $129/month (5 prompts), with packages from $50/month for 2,500 checks. AI Visibility Index from $199/month per platform ($699 for all). No free trial. Brand Radar

Best AI visibility tool for a low-cost first look

Otterly.AI

Otterly.AI pros:
– $29 a month to start, with unlimited brands, competitors, countries and team members
– Answers collected from the public web interfaces, with each prompt run from its assigned country
– Recommendations, GEO audits and agent analytics on top of tracking

Otterly.AI cons:
– 15 prompts on Lite is too few for a full picture of a B2B brand
– API and MCP start at $189; AI Mode, Gemini and Claude cost extra on every plan

Otterly.AI has the lowest entry price with monthly billing among the trackers here, and the $29 plan is usable on its own. For $29 you get 15 prompts checked daily on ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity and Copilot, plus three recommendations a week and up to 1,000 GEO audits a month.

The scoring rewards Otterly for breadth: it tracks share of voice, sentiment, a brand visibility index and the domains and links that engines cite, and it adds site-side work through GEO and crawlability audits and agent analytics. Otterly says it queries each engine’s public interface rather than an API, with Claude as the exception.

Scale is the limit. Fifteen prompts covers one product and a couple of comparisons. Standard ($189) gives you 100 prompts, the API, an MCP server, agent analytics and a Looker Studio connector, and Gemini and AI Mode are add-ons on top ($59 a month on Standard).

Start with Otterly if you want to learn what AI says about your brand this month for $29, then move up a plan if the data proves useful.

Otterly.AI pricing: From $29/month for Lite: 15 prompts, 4 engines, daily. Standard $189/month (100 prompts, API, MCP). AI Mode and Gemini from $9/month, Claude from $29/month. 7-day free trial. Pricing page

Best AI search monitoring platform for content teams at large companies

Scrunch

Scrunch pros:
– Tools for the site side of AI search: Agent Pages, AI bot traffic and site audits
– Presence, position, sentiment and citations, with up to 12 months of history
– 7-day trial with no sales call

Scrunch cons:
– Core covers 4 engines, 1 country and 1 language; Gemini and AI Mode need Enterprise
– Scrunch doesn’t publish how often prompts are refreshed

Scrunch, acquired by Sitecore in June 2026, is aimed at companies with a content and web team that can act on what it finds. Besides tracking, it focuses on how AI agents read your site: site audits, AI bot traffic, page optimizations and, on Enterprise, Agent Pages, part of what Scrunch calls its agent experience platform (AXP).

Core costs $250 a month for 125 prompts and 5,000 responses on ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews and Copilot, with five user seats, five competitors, one country and one language. Enterprise adds Claude, Gemini, Meta AI, Google AI Mode and Grok, plus the API, Looker Studio and MCP. Scrunch collects answers with a mix of browser automation and official platform APIs.

For a B2B team that mainly wants to track, the Core plan’s engine list is the issue: no Gemini and no AI Mode until you move to a custom contract.

Scrunch fits best where a web team will act on the findings and the company already runs on enterprise content tooling.

Scrunch pricing: From $250/month for Core: 125 prompts, 5,000 responses a month, 4 engines, 5 seats. Enterprise: custom, 9 engines, API and MCP. 7-day free trial. Pricing page

Best AI visibility tool for the widest engine coverage

AthenaHQ

AthenaHQ pros:
– Eleven engines on the first paid plan, including Claude, Grok, DeepSeek and Meta AI
– A free plan to start, with unlimited users
– Content and action agents, plus an MCP server with read and write tools

AthenaHQ cons:
– A big jump from the free plan to $295 a month
– Starter covers one country and one language, and the API is a paid add-on

AthenaHQ has the widest engine list among self-serve plans, full analytics, and agents that turn findings into content and on-page changes.

The free Essential plan includes 300 credits on five engines. Starter, at $295 a month, gives you 3,600 credits (one credit is one AI response) across 11 engines: ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, AI Mode, Gemini, Claude, Copilot, Grok, DeepSeek, Meta AI and Mistral. Topics, prompts, competitors and seats are unlimited within those credits. Reports cover share of voice, citation and mention rates, position and sentiment, with GA4 and Search Console connected for traffic.

Price is the weak spot. Our standard setup needs about 6,000 answers a month, more than Starter’s 3,600 credits, and AthenaHQ doesn’t publish the price of extra credits. It also doesn’t document how often prompts refresh automatically.

Choose AthenaHQ if your buyers use Claude, Grok or DeepSeek, or you want tracking and content work in one tool.

AthenaHQ pricing: Free plan with 300 credits. Starter from $295/month: 3,600 AI responses, 11 engines, unlimited prompts and seats. API is a paid add-on on Starter. Pricing page

Best AI visibility tracker for flexible cadence and engine-level detail

Rankscale

Rankscale pros:
– Schedules from hourly to monthly
– Its pricing page labels each engine as interface-based or API-based
– Local results, shopping analysis and tracking of sponsored answers

Rankscale cons:
– Credit pricing means the cost depends on which engines you run (Claude uses 8 times the credits of ChatGPT)
– Only one or two reviews on G2

Rankscale is for the team that wants control. Instead of fixed prompt counts, you buy credits and spend them on the engines and schedule you choose. Each query to ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini or AI Mode uses a quarter of a credit; DeepSeek uses one and Claude two.

Pro, at $99 a month, gives you 1,200 credits (up to 4,800 answers), 10 brand dashboards and 50 page audits, with unlimited seats and all regions. Our standard setup needs about 1,500 credits, so it fits on Pro+ ($229, 3,000 credits), which also adds the REST API. Rankscale tracks citations, sentiment, competitors, local and map packs in AI answers, shopping results and sponsored ads in ChatGPT, AI Mode and Copilot, and connects to Cloudflare to show AI crawler and assistant visits.

Rankscale also tells you which engines it reads through the web interface and which through a model API, so you know what each number represents.

Rankscale suits a team that wants to tune engines and cadence closely, or needs local and shopping results in AI answers.

Rankscale pricing: Essentials $17/month billed yearly ($204). Pro $99/month with 1,200 credits; Pro+ $229/month with 3,000 credits and API. 7-day free trial of Pro. Pricing page

Best AI visibility tool for tying AI visibility to traffic

Similarweb AEO Intelligence

Similarweb pros:
– AI answer visibility and AI referral traffic in one place
– 150 prompts tracked daily on the entry package
– Prompts based on real, normalized user prompts from Similarweb’s data

Similarweb cons:
– Answer tracking covers four engines: no Google AI Overviews or Copilot
– One user seat and three months of history on the entry package

Similarweb covers the second half of the question. Knowing that ChatGPT mentions you is useful; knowing how many visits ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude or Copilot sent to your site, and to which pages, is what budget reviews ask for. Similarweb puts both in one package.

AEO Intelligence costs $99 a month billed annually or $129 month to month. It tracks 150 prompts daily on ChatGPT, Google AI Mode, Gemini and Perplexity, with brand mention share against competitors, sentiment by topic and citation analysis by domain and URL. The AI traffic module covers referrals from more platforms, including Grok, Claude, Copilot and DeepSeek. Those extra platforms are tracked for traffic only.

The entry package has one seat and three months of history, and the API and MCP are part of custom business packages. Without Google AI Overviews, it also can’t run our standard setup.

It’s the natural choice if you need to connect AI visibility to sessions and landing pages, or you already use Similarweb for traffic and competitive data.

Similarweb pricing: AEO Intelligence from $99/month billed annually ($129 monthly): 150 prompts, 4 engines, 1 user. Bundles with SEO and competitive data from $333/month annually. Free trial. Packages

How to choose an AI visibility tool for your team

Start from your situation. The right tool is the one that does what you’ll actually use.

You want to know if AI mentions you at all. Start small and cheap. AskWatch’s free brand report, Otterly.AI’s $29 plan, AthenaHQ’s free plan or any of the 7 to 10-day trials gives you real data before you commit to a budget line.

You’re a marketing team that needs a daily view of 50 to 200 prompts. AskWatch, Peec AI and SE Visible all cost $99 to $130 a month for our standard setup. Choose AskWatch if you need all six engines without paying per engine, Peec for its analytics and team features, and SE Visible for the largest prompt count.

Your SEO already runs on Semrush or Ahrefs. Use their AI toolkits first. You’ll get AI data next to the keyword and backlink data you already trust, and you can add a dedicated tracker later if their limits get in the way.

You manage several brands, markets or languages. Look at Profound, Scrunch and AthenaHQ. All three handle scale, offer content or site-side tooling, and are priced accordingly.

You need to prove AI visibility brings traffic. Similarweb pairs answer tracking with AI referral data. Several other tools (Otterly, Profound, Rankscale, AthenaHQ) offer agent or traffic analytics on higher plans.

You may need two tools: a market view (Ahrefs Brand Radar or Semrush) and a daily tracker for the prompts that matter most.

What AI visibility tools can’t tell you

Every tool on this list measures a sample, and it helps to know where that sample stops.

There is no exact search volume for prompts. Google publishes keyword data; AI chat providers don’t publish what people ask. Prompt volume scores in Peec, Semrush, Profound or AthenaHQ are estimates built from other data. Use them to rank prompts, not to forecast traffic.

Answers change from run to run. Ask ChatGPT the same question twice and you can get different brands in a different order. A single day tells you little; a trend over weeks tells you a lot.

Tools don’t see personalization. Signed-in users with memory, custom instructions or past chats get answers shaped by that history. Trackers run clean sessions, so they show the baseline answer, not each buyer’s version.

Numbers from two tools aren’t comparable. Different engines, locations, collection methods and schedules produce different visibility figures for the same brand. Compare your brand to competitors inside one tool, and keep that tool long enough to see a trend.

Tools that almost made the list

  • HubSpot AEO: $50 a month for 25 prompts on ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity, with a 28-day trial and no HubSpot subscription required. It left this list because it doesn’t track Google AI Overviews or AI Mode, but it’s a strong option for HubSpot teams.
  • LLM Pulse: the widest engine catalog we found, including regional engines like Naver and Baidu, with MCP on every plan. Tracking is weekly by default, and daily tracking costs more.
  • ZipTie: pay-per-check pricing with unlimited seats and projects, and answers captured from the live consumer products. It reports mentions, citations and sentiment, but deliberately no position metric.
  • Meltwater GenAI Lens: an add-on for existing Meltwater customers. Pricing isn’t published, and Meltwater’s own pages describe different engine lists and refresh times.

FAQ

What is an AI visibility tool?

An AI visibility tool tracks whether AI assistants and AI search features mention your brand when people ask about your category. It sends a set of prompts to engines such as ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Google AI Overviews on a schedule and reports how often you appear, in what position and tone, which competitors appear instead, and which web pages the answers cite.

How is AI visibility different from SEO rank tracking?

Rank tracking shows where your page sits in a list of links. AI visibility shows whether your brand is named inside a generated answer, which may cite pages you don’t own. Both matter: Seer Interactive found that brands cited in a Google AI Overview earned 120% more organic clicks per impression than brands that weren’t cited, based on 5.47 million queries across 53 brands.

Which AI engines should a B2B company track?

Track ChatGPT and Google’s AI results first, because that’s where the audience is: OpenAI reports more than 1 billion weekly ChatGPT users, and Google reports more than 2.5 billion monthly users of AI Overviews and more than 1 billion of AI Mode. Add Perplexity, Gemini and Copilot next. Copilot matters more if your buyers work in Microsoft 365.

How many prompts do you need to track?

For one B2B product, 30 to 50 prompts is a workable start: category questions (“best X for Y”), alternatives to your top competitors, head-to-head comparisons and a few problem-based questions. Add 20 to 30 per extra product, segment or market. With fewer than 20 prompts, one prompt flipping on one engine moves that engine’s visibility by 5 points or more.

How often should you check AI visibility?

Daily tracking is the standard for prompts you care about, because answers vary from run to run and a daily series smooths that out. Weekly tracking works for a larger set of secondary prompts and costs less. Monthly snapshots are good for market research, not for spotting changes.

Can you check AI visibility for free?

Yes, for a one-off look. You can ask ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini your top questions by hand, use a free plan such as AthenaHQ’s, start a free trial (most tools here offer 7 to 10 days), or use a free one-time brand check such as Ahrefs’ AI visibility checker or AskWatch’s first report. For tracking over time, you’ll need a paid plan.
